This project was based on a Design, Supply and Installation contract. The overall goal of the Project was to ensure a sustainable, continuous and hygienically acceptable supply of drinking water according to international standards at socially acceptable costs for the residents of Dushanbe, Capital of Tajikistan. The design flow for the rehabilitation of SAM Filtration Plant is Min. 5.000 m3/h (120,000 m3/day). The design is unique due to the lack of space in the territory of Employer. In this regard the treated water reservoir which is in fact a pond to provide suitable contact time of chlorine solution with water is constructed below the filter building. Capacity of the contact reservoir is 4000 m3. Treated water from the reservoir flows directly from the underneath of each filter to the reservoir. The project started in September 2014 and ended in June 2017.
